How to Play

2. Look at the three notated bars below and pick the one that matches the rhythm you heard.
3. Get instant feedback, then the game moves straight on to the next round.
4. Try Andante or Moderato first, then challenge your ear with Allegro or Presto.

Why This Game Helps

Rhythm Ears is a free violin rhythm game and metronome game built for aural training. Rather than testing pitch, it isolates rhythm on its own — from simple crotchets and quaver pairs up to semiquaver groupings and minims — so students can train their music ears to recognise rhythmic patterns quickly and confidently. It's a natural next step after open-string and note-reading games, and pairs well with steady metronome practice at the instrument.
